The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing welding tasks with precision and adherence to safety standards. This role requires the ability to pass specific welding tests on various materials, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. The position is on-call, with respect to other responsibilities as needed, and offers pay based on experience. Duties Perform welding operations on different materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Pass a minimum of 3g and 4g test certifications to demonstrate proficiency in welding techniques. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication. Set up welding equipment and ensure proper safety procedures are followed at all times. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects within deadlines. Adjust welding parameters as necessary to meet quality standards. Conduct inspections of welds to ensure they meet industry standards and project requirements. Qualifications Proven ability to pass 3g and 4g welding tests on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Experience in performing various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, or Stick welding. Strong understanding of welding safety protocols and procedures. Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications accurately. Flexibility to work on an on-call basis with respect for other responsibilities as needed. Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds. Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory; relevant certifications are advantageous.
