Key Activities and Accountabilities 1. Ensure that the welding fabrication, maintenance, and repair of all equipment and peripherals is carried out safely, effectively and to required standards 2. Complete all workscope in accordance with applicable workpack / jobcard instructions, associated procedures and drawings/sketches 3. Determine required equipment and welding method, applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry, and welding techniques 4. Observe tests on welded surfaces, such as hydrostatic, x-ray, and dimension tolerance to evaluate weld quality and conformance to specifications 5. Analyse engineering drawings and specifications to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations 6. Work with safety as a top priority in order to minimise accidents and incidents 7. Lay out, positions, and secures parts and assemblies according to specifications Job Knowledge and Qualifications 1. Minimum of 5 years previous experience in similar role post mechanical apprenticeship or training. 2. Experience of working to approved industry quality standards 3. Knowledge and experience of appropriate international quality standards (e.g.
ASME, AWS, API
)
