Job Description

Job Requirements The Welder - is an individual selected to cut and join metals and other materials at our facilities. The Welder will operate appropriate equipment to put together all finished goods which Global Vessel and Tank produces with a great deal of precision. The welder should be competent in using potentially dangerous equipment following all safety precautions. The welder will have a steady and a high degree of attention to detail.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reads blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures. Set up components for welding according to specifications. Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded. Perform daily welding to required weld procedure Determine correct equipment and settings to get the job done Stay up to date with certifications and requirements Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety Test and inspect welds before final QC for approved quality Work with Production Manager and fitter to ensure maximum efficiency Work Experience
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma. Minimum 2+ years' experience in a relevant field. Communications skills in English/Spanish (if applicable). Experience in a variety of welding equipment and procedures. Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings. Knowledge of safety standards and willingness to use PPE. Success completion of a welding test provided by the QC department prior to hire date. Valid U.S. driver's license. Familiar with Global Vessel and Tank software programs Expected hours: 40.0 - 60.0 per week Benefits Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Vision insurance People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply  Pay DOE.
