We are currently seeking experienced Structural Welders to join our team and contribute to the success of our clients in the manufacturing sector.
Position Overview:
As a Structural Welder, you will play a critical role in the fabrication and assembly of structural components for various manufacturing projects. Your primary responsibilities will include interpreting blueprints, selecting appropriate welding techniques, and executing high-quality welds to meet project specifications. You will collaborate closely with a team of skilled professionals to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety guidelines and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements. Select and set up welding equipment and tools based on the specific project requirements. Perform various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding, to join structural components. Inspect welds to ensure they meet quality standards and project specifications. Conduct repairs or modifications to welded parts as needed. Collaborate with team members, including fabricators, engineers, and quality control personnel, to achieve project goals. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition through regular inspection and maintenance. Follow established manufacturing processes and procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency in welding operations. Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to provide updates on project status and address any concerns or challenges.
Qualifications:
Proven experience (at least 3-5 years) as a Structural Welder (not ship welder) or similar role in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols. Strong knowledge of welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding. Ability to operate welding equipment and tools safely and effectively. Familiarity with welding materials, including various types of metals and alloys. Excellent attention to detail and precision in welding operations. Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve project goals. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot welding issues. Flexibility to work in different environments and adapt to changing project requirements. Certification in welding techniques and/or relevant vocational training preferred.
Additional Information:
This position may require working in various environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, depending on project requirements. Candidates must be able to lift heavy objects and work in physically demanding conditions.
