In addition to learning the full job of the Journeyman Pipe Fitter/Welder, responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Installing or upgrading equipment in various field locations Excellent troubleshooting skills to diagnose problems with malfunctioning equipment Ability to travel and adapt to a changing work schedule Performing routine maintenance on customers' equipment Documenting installation and repairs Maintaining all tools and equipment used during service calls Work in a safe manner and follow customers' safety requirements Teaching customers how to use the equipment properly Managing the stock of replacement parts and equipment Provide excellent customer service during installation Maintaining the equipment and stock in the company vehicles Written and verbal communication skills to understand issues customers have and to explain technical information to customers in clear terms Time-management skills to handle appointments efficiently and stay on schedule Attention to detail to spot issues and complete accurate reports about the repairs Organizational skills to keep tools and paperwork organized while in the field Ability and willingness to work non-standard schedule; nights, weekends and holidays as required
