Walkersville, MD | Full-Time | $20-$28/hr (Top pay for candidates who can fabricate independently from prints.) Are you a skilled fabricator who takes pride in precision and craftsmanship? What you will do:
Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and welding symbols to guide fabrication work Lay out, measure, and fabricate steel components according to exact specifications Perform MIG welding as the primary method; use TIG or Stick welding as needed for specific tasks Operate shop equipment (overhead crane) Inspect welds and finished components to ensure they meet quality standards and durability requirements Identify potential hazards and apply appropriate protections to materials and the work area before welding or grinding Show up on time and ready to work
Minimum Qualifications:
1+ years of experience in steel or metal fabrication Proficient in MIG welding Ability to read and understand shop drawings and specifications Attention to detail and commitment to quality Stand and walk for long periods (up to 8 hours/day) Reliable attendance High school diploma or equivalent Mig welding certification required Working Conditions Indoor shop environment with fabrication work in progress throughout the day Exposure to noise, paint fumes, sparks, and moving equipment Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Pre-Employment Requirements Must pass a criminal background check Must pass a drug screening What we offer: Paid Time Off and eight holidays 100% employer-paid medical 100% employer-paid life, short- and long-term disability, and AD&D insurance Dental and Vision Insurance 401(k) retirement plan A casual and fun work environment and much more!
