Company Overview Ross Contracting, Inc. is seeking an experienced Certified Welder / Fabricator to join our construction and maintenance team. This position focuses on structural repairs, equipment modifications, underground utility repairs, and general construction fabrication in both shop and field environments. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in pressure-system welding, heavy-equipment repair, and custom metal fabrication.

Requirements :
Ability to commute or relocate before starting work
Repair cracks, structural damage, and worn components on frames, booms, buckets, trailers, and heavy construction equipment (excavators, loaders, dozers, skid steers).
Pressure Systems & Utilities :
Weld and repair underground utilities, pressure vessels, and pressurized piping systems, including water mains and steam lines.
Custom Fabrication :
Fabricate, assemble, modify, and install brackets, supports, platforms, guards, railings, and other custom job-site materials.
Technical Execution :
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, welding symbols, and repair plans. Perform high-quality MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and thick plate steel.
Preparation & Finishing :
Cut, grind, gouge, and prep materials for welding. Apply hardfacing to high-wear components as needed.
Safety & Maintenance :
Follow all company, job-site, and OSHA safety requirements while maintaining tools, equipment, and a clean, organized shop environment.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience :
3+ years of welding experience (heavy equipment or construction environment preferred).
Certifications :
Current welder certification from a recognized authority (such as AWS) and the ability to pass a practical weld test.
Technical Skills :
Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding processes with strong fabrication, fitting, layout, cutting, and measuring skills.
Physical Demands :
Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, work outdoors, at heights, and in confined spaces within a physically demanding environment.
Logistics :
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

$25.00 - $40.00 per hour (based on experience)
