Welder/Fabricator Location:
Comstock Park, MI Schedule:
Monday - Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our team in Comstock Park, MI. This position is responsible for the custom fabrication of industrial HVAC equipment from start to finish. If you enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, and building high-quality products from engineering drawings, we'd like to hear from you. Responsibilities Manually perform MIG welding on structural components, including tube and angle iron, to build equipment frames. Weld and fabricate 10-18 gauge sheet steel to complete unit assemblies. Build custom industrial HVAC units from the ground up using subcomponents from previous stages of production. Ensure weld quality, dimensional accuracy, and adherence to company standards. Safely operate welding and fabrication equipment. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Qualifications Previous MIG welding and metal fabrication experience required. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications. Strong understanding of fabrication processes and measuring tools. Ability to work independently and determine fabrication methods and assembly order. Experience working with structural steel and sheet metal preferred. Ability to lift, move, and maneuver materials and equipment as needed. Units typically range from 5 to 10 feet in height, width, and length. Fabrication of each custom unit generally takes between 1 to 3 days to complete. MIG welding and fabrication experience, be able to read blueprints, and have experience working with structural steel and sheet metal. Strong measuring skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
