COMPANY SUMMARY
Flexible Metal Inc. (FMI), a subsidiary of Hyspan Precision Products, is a local Tier 1 & 2 part and component supplier located near Southeast Michigan. FMI specializes in product design, engineering, development and manufacturing of tubular fabrication, welded tubular assemblies and fabricated exhaust manifolds.
SUMMARY OF ROLE
Weld metal components, products, assemblies and parts including but not limited to: MIG, Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) and TIG, Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW).

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner adhering to company safety policies. Operate welding machines that join or bond components to fabricate metal products or assemblies. Assemble, align, and clamp work pieces into holding fixtures to fabricated metal components. Weld parts and components that meet quality and product quotas. Inspect, measure, or test completed metal work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications. Record operational information on specified production reports. Perform MIG or TIG welding services as required per blue print specifications and/or work instructions. Meets or exceeds quality and productivity standards. Maintain a clean and orderly work area. Adhere to all company policies Maintains regular and predictable attendance Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent Secondary education preferred Certification preferred Three to five years MIG experience in manufacturing Three to five years TIG experience in manufacturing Prototype and tooling fabrication experience preferred
