Key Responsibilities and Expectations:
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and welding metal components to create high-quality products according to blueprints and specifications. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of welding techniques, fabrication processes, and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret and analyze blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to plan fabrication and welding tasks. Repair rotating equipment shafting using various welding processes. Perform various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on different materials like steel, aluminum, and stainless steel. Braze copper and brass with various wall thicknesses. Balance rotating elements (rotors, fans, impellers, ect.) using balance equipment. Operate fabrication tools, including saws, grinders, and shears, to shape and prepare materials. Assemble metal components and structures using manual tools and welding equipment. Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and adheres to specifications. Maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment to ensure proper functionality. Follow all workplace safety standards and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Collaborate with team members, including engineers and other fabricators, to ensure timely project completion.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Welder/Fabricator or in a similar role. Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding. Certification is a plus. Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes and materials. Strong basic mathematic skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Skilled in using hand tools and welding/fabrication machinery. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under deadlines. Physical stamina and dexterity to handle materials and work in various positions.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time Ability to lift, push, pull, carry items up to 60 lbs. Must have vision that allows for welding process to not be hindered or restricted.
