Job Description

We are looking for an experienced TIG Welder/Fabricator with a strong background in food grade stainless steel to join our team. This role combines shop fabrication work with on-site installation and service travel. You'll be building and installing high-quality stainless steel equipment and systems for clients in the food and beverage industry, where precision, cleanliness, and craftsmanship are non-negotiable. What You'll Do Perform precision TIG welding on food grade stainless steel (304/316) to industry sanitary standards Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings Fabricate, fit, and assemble stainless steel components, piping, and equipment Travel to client sites for installation, startup, and service work, typically 1-2 weeks at a time, every 2-3 months Perform on-site welding and fabrication under varying field conditions Grind, polish, and finish welds to meet sanitary/food grade standards Inspect completed work for quality, structural integrity, and code compliance Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, both in-shop and on the road Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other fabricators/installers What We're Looking For Proven experience TIG welding stainless steel, ideally in food, beverage, dairy, pharmaceutical, or similarly regulated industries Solid understanding of sanitary welding standards (3-A, BPE, or similar a plus) Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and weld specifications Comfortable working with orbital welding equipment (preferred, not required) Willingness and ability to travel for 1-2 week stretches every 2-3 months, including overnight stays Valid driver's license; passport helpful if travel may include international sites Strong attention to detail and pride in clean, high-quality welds Good communication skills and a professional attitude when representing the company on client sites This is a long-term position that offers excellent benefits and competitive pay.
