2988839838-2 Apply for this job now Job Description GFL Environmental is seeking a skilled Welder / Fabricator to support our waste management operations. In this on-site role, you'll repair and fabricate metal containers, compactors, and equipment using MIG/TIG/stick welding, cutting, and grinding tools. You'll interpret blueprints, complete structural and cosmetic repairs, and ensure all work meets safety and quality standards. Working in a safety-first, team-focused environment, you'll help keep essential environmental services running reliably while contributing to sustainability in the communities we serve. Responsibilities Perform MIG/TIG/stick welding and metal fabrication on containers, compactors, and related equipment Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to complete repairs and modifications Cut, fit, and assemble metal components using torches, grinders, and related tools Inspect welds and structures to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with company standards Maintain welding and fabrication tools, equipment, and shop work area Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and environmental regulations Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to prioritize and complete work Document work performed and report equipment or safety issues promptly Required Skills MIG welding TIG welding Stick welding Blueprint reading Metal fabrication Cutting and grinding Weld inspection Equipment maintenance Safety compliance Forklift or crane operation
