Job Description
Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of high-quality metal structures and parts, supporting our commitment to excellence in fabrication and manufacturing processes. This position offers an energetic environment where craftsmanship, mechanical knowledge, and safety are prioritized to ensure successful project completion. Responsibilities Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine specifications and dimensions. Use various measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and measuring tapes to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly of metal components. Operate welding equipment including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Fabricate metal parts using sheet metal working techniques, plasma cutting, machining, and pipe threading to meet project specifications. Utilize hand tools, power tools, rigging equipment, and fabrication machinery safely and efficiently during assembly and welding tasks. Measure, cut, bend, and assemble sheet metal or other metal materials for construction site projects or fabrication shop tasks. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following established safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with team members to interpret technical drawings accurately and execute fabrication tasks efficiently while adhering to project timelines. Requirements Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety procedures and protocols. Skilled in welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding with the ability to meet AWS standards. Proficient in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and mechanical blueprints for accurate fabrication. Experience with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and shop math for precise measurements. Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication shop operations, machining processes, pipe threading, plasma cutting, and assembly. Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, rigging equipment, and other fabrication machinery safely. Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication techniques including bending, cutting, forming, and welding of sheet metal materials. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to welding environments and construction sites; commitment to maintaining a safe workspace.
