In this role, you will execute precise welding and fabrication requirements across diverse projects supporting the automotive, aerospace, defense, and energy sectors. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical capabilities in TIG and MIG welding, blueprint reading, and pre-weld inspection procedures. Key Responsibilities

Technical Execution:

Analyze engineering prints, CAD models, and specifications to properly fit up, tack, and execute GTAW (TIG) and GMAW (MIG) welding processes on both aluminum and steel components.

Fabrication & Assembly:

Clean, prepare, cut, burn, measure, and assemble materials using power tools and shop equipment; select appropriate welding techniques, filler materials, and shielding gases as required.

Quality & Documentation:

Complete pre-weld and in-process inspection checklists. Create and/or maintain required process documentation including Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), weld maps/charts, and weld continuity logs.

Inspection Readiness:

Prepare completed fabrications for inspection by a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) and perform necessary weld repairs or rework as directed.

Certifications & Equipment Operation:

Earn and maintain operator certifications for GTAW (Aluminum) and GMAW (Steel) at minimum, with additional process certifications as required. Safely operate HiLo (forklift) and overhead cranes (instruction and certification provided).

Safety & Maintenance:

Maintain an orderly, clean, and safe workspace; follow standard operating procedures and fully comply with all safety policies and legal regulations. Qualifications & Requirements

Experience:

2+ years of hands-on experience with TIG welding and metal fabrication.

Technical Skills:

Basic understanding of engineering drawings, prints, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Tool & Equipment Proficiency:

Experience using power tools and performing routine shop equipment maintenance.

Physical Capability:

Ability to lift 25+ lbs regularly and perform physical shop tasks safely.

Safety Mindset:

Strong foundational knowledge of workplace safety practices and procedures.

Work Ethic:

Strong analytical skills, interest in practical problem-solving, high dependability, and commitment to meeting deadlines.

Flexibility:
