Job Title:
Aluminum Welder / Fabricator Job Description This role focuses on welding and fabricating aluminum bar and tube materials ranging from 2 feet to 20 feet in length. You will use your welding expertise and blueprint reading skills to produce high-quality fabricated components that meet precise specifications and quality standards. Responsibilities Perform aluminum welding on bar and tube materials ranging from 2 feet to 20 feet in length, ensuring strong, clean, and structurally sound welds. Interpret and read blueprints and fabrication drawings to understand dimensions, tolerances, and welding requirements. Set up, operate, and adjust welding equipment and tools to complete fabrication tasks according to job specifications. Measure, cut, fit, and assemble aluminum components prior to welding to ensure proper alignment and fit-up. Inspect welded joints and fabricated parts for accuracy, quality, and compliance with drawings and standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all shop safety procedures and guidelines. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize work, resolve fabrication issues, and meet production deadlines. Essential Skills 2 to 5 years of recent experience in aluminum welding and fabrication. Proficiency in welding aluminum bar and tube materials in lengths from 2 feet to 20 feet. Strong blueprint reading skills, including the ability to interpret fabrication drawings and welding symbols. Hands-on experience with aluminum welding processes in a fabrication or shop environment. Ability to set up and operate welding equipment and related fabrication tools safely and effectively. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working in a fabrication shop or manufacturing environment. Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds and fabricated components. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools. Capability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production setting. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Fe Springs, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
