Job Title:
MIG Welder Job Description We are seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join our team. This role involves reviewing job orders and interpreting welding specifications according to code certifications and inspection requirements. The ideal candidate will perform welding and related tasks, ensuring all work adheres to ISO and quality standards. Responsibilities Review job orders and interpret welding specifications according to code certifications. Set up jobs, fit, and position weldments using fixtures and jigs. Vary welding techniques, materials, and equipment within recognized limits. Perform welding tasks such as surface preparation, thermal cutting, and grinding. Inspect welds and welded surfaces for proper bonds. Clean and maintain work area, welding equipment, and tools daily. Ensure safe working practices at all times. Adhere to ISO and quality standards. Essential Skills 1-6 years of MIG welding experience. Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints. Capability to pass a weld test. Additional Skills & Qualifications Proficiency in MIG welding and blueprint reading. Experience in quality inspection. Knowledge of aluminum welding. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work the 2nd shift from 1:30 PM to 12 AM, Monday through Thursday, with a $1.50/hr shift premium. The facility is clean and organized, though not temperature-controlled, and can get hot in the summer. Collaborate with other employees in the fabrication department, including welders and various press and laser operators. Work in a welding shop and metal fabrication/assembly shop with exposure to hot objects, sparks, fumes, and airborne particles. Utilize company-supplied personal protective equipment such as flame-resistant overclothing, safety mask and shield, safety glasses, safety shoes, and ear protection as necessary. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kenosha, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $27.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
