- Job Description
- This role focuses on pulling and organizing materials for HVAC construction projects and fabricating custom sheet metal products. You will support the shop by preparing rough-in materials, assembling ductwork components, and ensuring all materials are stored correctly, while consistently following safety and personal protective equipment guidelines.
- Responsibilities
- + Pull rough-in material for HVAC construction projects according to job specifications+ Put away returned material from jobs in the correct area to maintain an organized shop+ Fabricate and assemble rough-in sheet metal material for HVAC systems, including ductwork+ Load and unload materials and equipment, including trailers, in a safe and efficient manner+ Consistently wear and maintain proper personal protective equipment while working in the shop+ Learn and operate sheet metal fabricating equipment and related tools+ Use hand tools and general labor skills to support fabrication and material handling tasks+ Communicate effectively with coworkers and leadership to coordinate work and resolve issues+ Apply general math skills to measure, cut, and assemble sheet metal components accurately+ Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the workday+ Contribute as a committed team player to meet project deadlines and production goals•Essential Skills•+ Experience with general labor tasks in a shop or construction environment+ Ability to safely use hand tools for cutting, fastening, and assembling materials+ Basic sheet metal fabrication skills, including measuring, cutting, and assembling components+ Understanding of HVAC sheet metal and ductwork materials and components+ Ability to load and unload trailers and handle materials safely+ Strong sense of urgency to complete tasks efficiently and meet deadlines+ Ability to effectively communicate information to coworkers and management+ General math skills for measurements and basic calculations+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day+ Demonstrated commitment to working safely and wearing proper personal protective equipment+ Team-oriented mindset with willingness to support others and collaborate•Additional Skills & Qualifications•+ Flexible personal style with the ability to work well with diverse personalities+ Professional yet personable demeanor in daily interactions+ Person-oriented approach, focusing on cooperation and clear communication+ Reliability and strong work ethic in a fast-paced shop environment+ Willingness to learn new fabrication equipment and techniques•Why Work Here?

- This position is based in a shop environment focused on HVAC and sheet metal fabrication.
You work with hand tools, sheet metal materials, ductwork components, and fabricating equipment, and regularly load and unload trailers and handle materials up to 50 pounds. The work is active and physical, requiring consistent use of personal protective equipment and adherence to safety practices throughout the day.

- Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $23.00

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
