ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Accurately punch in-and-out of work orders and record times and materials. Read and interpret blueprints. Source the materials used in projects. Weld materials using the correct materials to join the metals together. Review finished work to ensure that it falls within the tolerances marked on the blueprints. Maintain knowledge of various mechanical and manual welding techniques, including TIG/MIG. Perform other general sheet metal operations when needed, including drill and tap, hardware installation, parts separation and extrusion. Review dimensional characteristics and finish requirements of parts and assemblies to the requirements of the prints and quality standards. Conduct visual weld inspections to ensure adherence to all routing specifications and high quality. Collaborate with employees, operations, engineering and sales team to solve problems and recommend plans of improvement. Maintain a neat, orderly and safe work environment. Operate forklift and hand truck as needed. Read and interpret 2D drawings and 3D model finish symbols for welding, grinding and all related production. Utilize fixtures and necessary tools to successfully complete weldments. Utilize inspection tools to measure parts to customer specifications. Follow standard AWS welding safety procedures. Follow ISO procedures and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Regular, reliable on-site attendance is required. Perform other work-related duties as assigned by management.
