Crown Staffing is currently seeking an experienced MIG Welder to fill an opening with a local Manufacturing company in Independence, MO.
Job Description:
Fitter Welder needed to cut, fit and weld steel grating and other steel projects. Candidate should be proficient at reading blueprints and understand the fitting of pieces for weld projects. Perform MIG welding on steel, to create and assemble components according to specifications.
Blueprint Interpretation:
Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine welding requirements and ensure accuracy in fabrication.
Quality Assurance:
Inspect welds and assembled parts for quality and compliance with industry standards, making adjustments as necessary.
Equipment Operation:
Set up and operate MIG welding machines and related equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and safety protocols are followed.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other team members, including engineers and fabricators, to meet project timelines and specifications.
Problem-Solving:
Troubleshoot welding issues and implement effective solutions to maintain productivity and quality.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Qualifications/Experience:
Experience:
Proven experience as a MIG Fitter Welder, with a strong understanding of welding techniques.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in MIG welding and capable of operating welding equipment and tools effectively.
Blueprint Reading:
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Certifications:
Relevant welding certifications (e.g., AWS, ASME) are preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various positions; comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Welding to make grating for stairs and flooring
Steel:
Commonly used for structural applications due to its strength. moisture.
