The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication and be able to work on various projects, including construction sites and manufacturing environments. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards while working with different materials and techniques. The weld test is 6G on 3 inch pipe. Responsibilities Analyzing blueprints and specifications to plan precise welding layouts. Selecting the right equipment and techniques for each unique project. Preparing materials to exact specifications using tools like angle grinders. Executing welding tasks to meet tight construction schedules while upholding quality. Inspecting and testing welded surfaces to ensure they meet rigorous standards. Repairing structural components and machinery to ensure seamless functionality. Maintaining equipment to avoid downtime and ensure safety. Keeping workspaces organized and aligned with safety protocols. Collaborating across teams to meet project goals and deadlines. Managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Experience Proven experience as a Welder or in a similar role within the construction or manufacturing industry. Proficiency in welding techniques, soldering, pipe threading, and basic machining operations. Familiarity with blueprint reading and the ability to apply basic math skills for measurements and calculations. Knowledge of relevant codes and standards governing welding practices. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications A minimum of 5 years of professional stick welding experience. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. A professional welding certification (e.g., AWS) is preferred. Clear MVR and Valid Class E driver's license (or equivalent) required within 30 days of hire and a company-approved driving record. Strong math skills and the ability to read and write fluently.
