You choose the right tungsten, filler, and shielding gas mix, set your parameters, and tack up frames and piping. By mid-morning, you're laying down smooth, consistent TIG beads—flat, vertical, and overhead—on thin- and standard-gauge stainless, keeping a close eye on heat to avoid distortion. After lunch, you verify dimensions with calipers and squares, correct any misalignment, and complete final inspections so each assembly meets spec and looks impeccable. Before clocking out, you perform basic equipment maintenance, update your lead, and reset the area for the next shift. Schedule Monday-Thursday, four 10-hour shifts. What You'll Handle
GTAW/TIG
welding of stainless steel components and assemblies with a strong focus on appearance, quality, and repeatability. Fabrication and welding of machinery frames, components, piping, and assemblies to blueprint and specification. Set up and operate TIG equipment; select correct settings, tungsten, shielding gas, filler metals, and techniques for each job. Weld in flat, vertical, overhead, and other positions as required. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, weld symbols, measurements, and specifications. Fit, align, position, and secure stainless parts prior to welding. Use precision tools—calipers, rulers, squares, straightedges—and other fabrication equipment for accurate layout. Control heat input to prevent overheating, warping, distortion, and shrinkage. Deliver clean, consistent, visually acceptable welds that meet quality standards. Inspect completed welds and assemblies for defects, dimensional accuracy, and conformance. Operate common hand and power tools used in welding/fabrication. Perform basic maintenance and promptly report equipment or process issues. Keep the work area safe, orderly, and compliant with company safety practices. Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and production requirements. Communicate effectively with supervisors, leads, and teammates; meet production schedules. Support additional fabrication and assembly tasks as needed. What You Bring 3-5 years of professional
TIG/GTAW
welding experience, specifically with stainless steel. 3-5 years reading and interpreting blueprints/technical drawings. Proven ability to produce clean, high-quality stainless TIG welds. Hands-on fitting and fabrication experience. Fluency with weld symbols, dimensions, tolerances, and fabrication specs. Strong knowledge of welding equipment, hand tools, and power tools. Ability to use precision measuring equipment accurately. Exceptional attention to detail; quality-first mindset. Works independently and as part of a production team. Quick learner who adapts to changing production needs. Clear communicator and effective problem solver. Willing to work overtime and occasional weekends when required. Preferred Experience TIG welding 304 and/or 316 stainless steel. Thin-gauge stainless work. Sanitary/food-grade or appearance-critical stainless welding. Stainless fabrication and machinery assembly.
GMAW/MIG
welding experience in addition to TIG. Working from detailed fabrication drawings and weld specifications. Background in food-processing equipment, industrial machinery, pharmaceutical equipment, or precision stainless manufacturing. Physical & Work Environment Stand for extended periods; frequent walking, bending, kneeling, crawling, and reaching in varied positions. Manufacturing environment with moderate to high noise. Lift and/or move up to 60 pounds regularly. Work safely around welding equipment, machinery, metal components, sparks, heat, fumes, and related hazards. Proper PPE and strict adherence to safety procedures required.
