Tyler, Staffmark Associate Responsibilities:
Set up and prepare welding equipment, tools, and materials. Perform MIG, TIG, Stick, or Flux-Core welding (depending on project needs). Read, understand, and follow blueprints, work orders, and welding specifications. Inspect welds for quality and ensure parts meet blueprint tolerances. Make adjustments to weld settings to maintain strong, clean welds. Perform grinding, fitting, and basic fabrication as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe welding work area. Follow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, and shop policies. Complete daily production logs, inspection forms, or other paperwork as required. Communicate with supervisors and team members to troubleshoot issues or improve processes.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required; welding certification or technical training preferred. Prior welding experience (MIG, TIG, Stick, or Flux-Core) in a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial setting. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and shop drawings. Skilled in using welding equipment, grinders, measuring tools, and hand/power tools. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, stoop, stand, and move throughout the shift. Solid work ethic — dependable, safety-minded, and able to work independently or with a team. Willingness to learn new techniques, improve processes, and pitch in where needed. Strong communication skills to work effectively with leads, inspectors, and coworkers.
