Job Description

Webco Manufacturing, Inc. in Alto, GA is seeking a Fabricator/MIG Welder to join our precision sheet metal team. This role fabricates and welds custom metal parts from blueprints, operating MIG welding equipment, press brakes, shears, and other fabrication tools. Responsibilities include layout, fit-up, tack welding, final welds, grinding, and finishing to tight tolerances while following safety and quality standards. The position works closely with engineers and assemblers, supports continuous improvement, and contributes to a collaborative, safety-focused production environment. Responsibilities Interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings for metal parts and assemblies Perform MIG welding on carbon steel and other metals to specified standards Set up and operate fabrication equipment such as press brakes, shears, and saws Lay out, fit, tack, and weld components to tight tolerances Grind, deburr, and finish parts to required quality standards Inspect work using measuring tools and follow quality control procedures Follow all safety policies, PPE requirements, and housekeeping standards Collaborate with engineers and production team members to resolve fabrication issues Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives Maintain welding and fabrication equipment in good working order Required Skills MIG welding Blueprint reading Sheet metal fabrication Welding equipment setup Measuring and inspection tools Grinding and finishing Metal cutting and forming Fixture and jig use Quality control procedures Safety procedures and PPE
