Fabricator / Welder Black Dot Steel, LLC | Washington, MO Black Dot Steel is seeking a motivated Fabricator/Welder to join our growing fabrication team. This position involves structural steel fabrication, MIG welding, and working from fabrication drawings while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity. Responsibilities Fabricate structural steel components including beams, tubes, channels, angles, and plate assemblies. Perform MIG welding in a shop environment. Read and interpret fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and welding procedures. Follow instructions from Fabricators, Foremen, and Management. Perform visual inspections of completed work to ensure quality standards are met. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Work efficiently to minimize mistakes and rework. Assist with fabrication processes including saw cutting, drilling, punching, and material preparation as needed. Demonstrate a willingness to learn and work effectively as part of a team. Qualifications Welding experience required; structural steel fabrication experience preferred. Ability to read fabrication drawings and weld symbols preferred. Knowledge of welding machine setup and shop safety practices. AWS certification is not required for employment; however, candidates must be capable of passing an AWS multi-position MIG weld test. Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to quality workmanship. Compensation $20.00 - $26.00 per hour , based on experience, skill level, certifications, and performance during welding evaluation. Overtime opportunities available at 1.5x pay .
