Knows and understands all safety rules and precautions necessary for working in and about a manufacturing environmentResponsible for coordination of welder settings, gun speed/travel and gas flow with observed condition of beadAbility to read a tape measure and blue prints to shop standardAbility to decide when adjustment or gun manipulation needs to be alteredAbility to decide how much and what repairs to make for pin holes and burn through caused by auto welderAbility to train and teach proper welding procedures in accordance with manufacturing job proceduresAbility to operate overhead crane and other lifting equipmentResponsible for holding bead to specified shape, size and penetrations while maintain the quality of the productResponsible for keeping numerical and alphabetical sequences correctMaintains continuous improvement practices in work areaWhile performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hearQualificationsA minimum of one (1) year experience welding in a production environment or valid welding certificationAbility to read blueprints and drawingsAbility to obtain and maintain CWB and AWS welding certification in accordance with Cornerstone Building Brands welding proceduresExperience with forklift and/or overhead crane operation a plus Comfort and familiarity with power hand toolsWillingness to train, certify, and operate forklift and overhead craneAbility to work effectively to meet deadlinesAbility to work collaboratively within a team environmentGeneral mathematical knowledge and proficiency with basic measuring instruments

$18.50- $19.

7:00 AM- 3:30 PM, Monday
- Friday Duties and ResponsibilitiesThis position engages in the full scope of MIG weld processes on a variety of structural steel including (but not limited to) rigid frame columns, rafters, pipe, beam canopy rafters, small parts, clips, and special assemblies.
