Job Description

Welder Fitter Peoplelink Staffing, in partnership with a prominent business in the Itawamba County MS area is seeking welder fitter to join their team! This customer is offering a wide range of perks such as full benefits, 401K, and profit sharing!

M-Sat 6am-until Overtime required Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements. Measure, cut, fit, and assemble metal components using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment. Perform MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Core welding as required. Align and secure components prior to welding using clamps, fixtures, and other equipment. Inspect completed welds and assemblies to ensure quality and compliance with specifications. Grind, polish, and finish welded surfaces as needed. Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment when authorized. Maintain welding equipment and tools in proper working condition. Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations. Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and team members to complete projects on schedule. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Minimum of 2 years of welding and fitting experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Proficiency with measuring tools including tape measures, squares, calipers, and levels. Knowledge of welding symbols and fabrication processes. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
