Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our construction and manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing a variety of welding tasks across multiple projects, ensuring all work meets strict safety standards, quality specifications, and industry codes. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to complex fabrication, pipe installation, and maintenance operations in a dynamic environment. The ideal applicant will possess extensive experience with diverse welding techniques, blueprint interpretation, and mechanical systems, supporting our commitment to precision and safety. Duties Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), Stick, TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and pipe welding according to project specifications and industry standards. Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints to determine welding requirements. Fabricate, assemble, and install piping systems including sprinkler systems, HVAC ductwork, and plumbing infrastructure following ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) codes and NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) standards. Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and pipe threading equipment safely to prepare materials for welding and installation. Conduct pipe bending, tube bending, and rigging tasks necessary for assembly and installation projects. Maintain compliance with safety regulations by adhering to safety protocol guidelines during all phases of work. Inspect completed welds for quality assurance using calipers, schematics, and visual testing; perform soldering as needed. Assist in maintenance activities on existing piping systems or equipment requiring welding or fabrication repairs. Follow construction site procedures ensuring safety protocol adherence during pipefitting, pipe installation, or sprinkler fitting projects. Document work progress accurately while complying with all relevant codes such as ASME standards. Collaborate with team members on complex assembly tasks involving mechanical knowledge and technical expertise. Skills Extensive experience with MIG welding, FCAW, Stick welding, TIG welding, and pipe welding techniques. Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, construction plans, and technical drawings. Strong mechanical knowledge related to fabrication processes, pipefitting, plumbing systems, HVAC components, and fire sprinkler fitting. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools—including power tool safety protocols—and specialized equipment such as calipers and pipe threading machines. Knowledge of construction site safety regulations and NFPA standards for fire protection systems. Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately for precise fabrication and installation tasks. Familiarity with manufacturing processes related to pipeline assembly or maintenance projects. Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations involved in fabrication work. Experience working on construction sites with a focus on safety regulations compliance. Capable of rigging operations required for lifting or positioning heavy piping or equipment. Understanding of ASME codes & standards governing pressure vessels and piping systems. Ability to perform soldering tasks as part of plumbing or fire sprinkler fitting projects. Strong communication skills for effective teamwork across diverse project environments. This position is integral to maintaining high standards of quality while ensuring safety at all times. Pay:
$18.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
