Job Description

Combo Fitter/Welder with miner millwright/structural experience. Work may require working from heights. Long hours, completive pay, long term job.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1 Complies with company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulation. Wearing personal protective equipment and works safely in accordance with company guidelines. 2. Sets up and operates gas welding machines to weld metal parts according to work orders, blueprint layouts and verbal instructions. 3. Regulates flow of gases for proper mixture. 4. Cleans parts to remove contamination prior to welding. 5. Sets up and operates all phases of brazing applications using clamps, fixtures and torches working to specified tolerances. 6. Selects proper materials. 7. Sets up and operates stick or arc welding machines to repair, join or fabricate parts working with blueprints, sketches or verbal orders. 8. Uses inspection gages such as venires, scales, micrometers and pin gages. 9. Follows blueprints to meet product specifications and maintain tight tolerances. 10. Changes weld cups, electrodes and any other tooling to maintain quality and production standards. 11. Trains less experienced employees in set up and quality production standards. 12. Maintains tools, gages and equipment in a clean, orderly and safe manner. 13. Complies with company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations. 14. Performs other related duties as assigned. Skills 5 years experience in welding Oral Communication Skills Must be able to stand for 10 hours Written Communication Skills Must be able to squat for periods of time Technical Communication Must be able to Crawl into spaces Mechanical Aptitude Must be able to conduct overhead work for hours at a time Reading Skills Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
