Job Description
Crown Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Welder to fill an opening with a local Manufacturing company in Tupelo, MS.
Job Summary:
The Welder will be responsible for performing high-quality welding and fabrication tasks in support of automotive component production. This role involves reading technical drawings, preparing metal components, executing various welding processes, and ensuring all work meets industry and company quality standards. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities:
Interpret and follow engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions . Perform MIG, TIG, and/or arc welding on steel, aluminum, and other metals used in automotive fabrication. Fit, align, and assemble metal components and substructures prior to welding. Operate fabrication tools such as grinders, cutters, drill presses, and measuring equipment. Inspect welded joints for quality, strength, and conformity to specifications. Identify welding defects and perform necessary repairs or adjustments. Maintain welding equipment and ensure proper setup for each task. Follow all safety protocols , including use of PPE and adherence to factory safety guidelines. Work collaboratively with production teams to meet daily output and quality targets. Record production data, material usage, and any issues encountered during fabrication.Qualifications & Skills:
High school diploma or technical/vocational certification in welding or metal fabrication. Proven experience as a welder, ideally in an automotive or manufacturing environment. Proficiency in MIG/TIG welding and ability to pass welding tests. Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings. Strong understanding of metallurgy, weld symbols, and fabrication techniques. Knowledge of safety procedures and OSHA/industry standards. Good problem-solving ability and attention to detail. Capable of lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods.Preferred Qualifications:
Certification from AWS, CWB, or equivalent welding authority. Experience working with robotic welding systems or automated production lines. Familiarity with automotive chassis, body components, or performance fabrication.Working Conditions:
Full-time role in a manufacturing/factory environment. Exposure to noise, heat, sparks, and fumes (with proper PPE provided). Requires physical strength, manual dexterity, and ability to handle heavy materials.Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50-75 lbs safely. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Standing, bending, and kneeling for long periods.Note:
