Shop Welder Full-time position 8 hours, Monday through Friday $15.00-$20.00/ hour based on experience

Description:

The Shop Welder will be welding custom branding irons, branding iron furnaces, and installing flat truck beds among other duties. Shop welders need to work as a team to get every project done in a timely fashion while also maintaining a clean and orderly shop. Customer service skills are also needed to maintain customer relationships.

Responsibilities:

Meet and greet customers Perform welding tasks using various techniques and equipment Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawing to determine welding requirements Fabricate and assemble metal structures, components, and ductwork according to specifications Use plasma cutting and pipe threading machines to prepare materials Ensure the safety of yourself and other welders by complying with welding codes and standards Conduct inspections and honest evaluations of completed welds to ensure quality and accuracy Collaborate with team to complete projects on time

Requirements:

Proven experience as a welder in a similar role Strong understanding of welding techniques Familiarity with welding codes and safety standards Ability to operate appropriate machinery Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision Ability to interpret complex instructions and follow technical specifications Strong problem solving skills and ability to troubleshoot welding issues Other duties include heavy lifting and forklift operations sometimes Heavy lifting Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions.
