Nesco Resource is hiring a Welder/Fabricator for 1st shift for our Client in
Conover, NC Pay:
$21.00•26.00 hour
Hours:
Monday•Friday 8:00 a.m.•5:00 p.m. Full job description Set up and operate welding equipment Operate hand and power tools as needed in a safe and efficient manner Knowledge and understanding of different types of material for proper welding specifications Read and understand drawings, and be able to hold tolerances required properly utilize measuring tools Operate overhead crane, forklift, and/or hand trucks as necessary Read and interpret blueprints and engineering plans and use the blueprints along with other data, such as work orders, to develop and design welding projects. Fabrication that involves laying out, cutting, fitting, measuring and welding metals to create the desired shape or object. This is highly detailed work and requires the knowledgeable of many techniques and tools. Inspect and test welds and equipment. Welds are checked for durability as well as meeting specified standards. Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude Provide assistance to production process when needed Perform modification and repair work if required Responsible for organizing and keeping inventory of metal materials and notifying Purchasing when an item needs to be restocked. Preps parts to be painted by removing rust from metal, grease and dirt from work surfaces Appropriately mix thinners, primers and reducers with paints to come up with required consistency Paint surfaces using sprayer or brush as appropriate. Check finished paint jobs to ensure that it is done according to quality procedures Responsible for keeping the fabrication, painting and repair area clean and organized.
