Accurate Staffing is currently hiring a Welder / Fabricator in Conover, NC. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced welder with strong fabrication skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read blueprints and work with precision. Shift M-F 8am-5pm What You'll Do Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work orders, and specifications. Perform fabrication including layout, cutting, fitting, measuring, and welding of metal components. Select appropriate welding methods and specifications based on different types of materials. Use measuring tools accurately and maintain required tolerances. Inspect and test completed welds to ensure durability and quality standards are met. Operate hand and power tools as needed. Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and hand trucks as necessary. Perform modification, repair, and adjustment work as required. Provide support to the production process when needed. Maintain an organized inventory of metal materials and communicate restocking needs to Purchasing. Prepare metal parts for painting by removing rust, grease, dirt, and other contaminants. Mix thinners, primers, reducers, and paints to the required consistency. Apply paint using a sprayer or brush as appropriate. Inspect completed paint work to ensure it meets quality standards. Keep the fabrication, painting, and repair areas clean, safe, and organized. What We're Looking For Previous welding and fabrication experience. Ability to read and understand blueprints and engineering drawings. Knowledge of different metals and appropriate welding specifications. Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills. Ability to accurately use measuring tools and maintain tight tolerances. Experience with hand and power tools. Forklift and/or overhead crane experience is a plus.
