Position Summary:

Welder Fabricators may work on projects of all sizes, but their job is essentially the same; designing, cutting and shaping metal. A Welder Fabricator may be involved in the creation of new structures or repairing existing ones. You will be part of a team with other skilled workers, however, your duties will often be performed with minimal supervision so you must be comfortable working independently.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Comply with all Safety Requirements to maintain safe work area for you and your co-workers Read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions or diagrams to perform assigned tasks Perform MIG procedures with accuracy and efficiency Complete welding and/or fabrication to project specs Assesses equipment, structures, materials, and job specifications for appropriate welding positions and methods Monitors equipment for appropriate usage and temperature Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements Set up components for welding according to specifications Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces

Desired Qualifications Experience/Education:

High School Diploma/GED 2-year's work experience directly related to Welding or Steel Fabrication Must be 18 years of age or older Proficient at welding Fabricating experience Blueprint reading skills MIG Welding Experience Ability to weld on thin Gauge material

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
