Job Description

As a Welder-Fabricator you will hand weld and fabricate metal in multiple positions to create parts using a MIG (GMAW) welder to build Heavy Haul Flat-bed Commercial Trailers.
Basic Qualifications:
3+ years MIG welding, stick welding and fabricating experience. Expert with angle grinders and acetylene torches. Expert with safety equipment and protective clothing. Expert in reading, writing, interpreting documents, factory orders, blueprints, schematics, or work tickets. Expert using squares, tape measures, calipers, levels, plumb-bob/plummet and clamps. Excellent math skills and able to add/subtract/multiply/divide fractions and decimals to .06".
Top Candidates Qualifications may include:
5+ years of MIG welding and fabricating experience.
Professional Certifications or Experience Physical Requirements:
Must be able to work in hot or cold environments, work areas are heated. Lift and move up to 50 pounds. Occasionally required to use a ladder or walk on a trailer.
Compensation and Benefits:
Starting hourly pay rate of $20.00 per hour plus incentives, but some flexibility up to $25.00 per hour based on skillset determined from interview, work history and weld test. 1st
Shift Position:
Monday - Thursday 7:00am to 5:30pm 40 hour work week with potential for Overtime on Friday & Saturday. Military Service Premium at $1.00 per hour. Paid Holidays, Vacation, 401K, Health, Dental, Vision, Short Term Disability Insurance, Life Insurance, Safety Shoe Reimbursement Program. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Follow all Plant Safety guidelines and PPE requirements. Work individually or on a production team in a safety and quality focused environment. Will read and use blueprints to weld parts together. Will be required to maintain a neat and clean work area. Excellent attendance is required, Tardiness and absenteeism is not tolerated. Perform other work related duties as assigned.
Additional Information:
All candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screening before they can be hired to any Liberty Trailers position. All candidates must pass a welding-fabricating test before they can be hired for the Welder-Fabricator position.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
