Monday-Thursday 6:00 am - 4:30 pm, overtime as needed
Position Summary:
To weld and fabricate parts in accordance with specifications and per company workmanship standards by performing the following functions. Essential Functions include but are not limited to: Perform efficient welding of various metal objects, including heavy and light gauge carbon steel, aluminum, and stainless, using both MIG and TIG equipment Analyze blueprints/drawings, specifications, sketches, work orders, and material safety data sheets to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations Set up, troubleshoot, and adjust equipment Layout, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers Report all non-conforming material to the Welding Team Leader and/or Shop Foreman immediately Input and maintain data in ERP computer system/
Global Requirements:
Maintain excellent attendance and possess the flexibility to work overtime HS education with a minimum of 2 years welding experience Possess a solid understanding of welding equipment and tooling Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, welding process specifications, and welding symbols Must be able to operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments Must have the ability to weld in all positions with good penetration and quality Must be able to read a tape measure, pressure gauge, level, square, and use a variety of power tools Work independently and follow direction Excellent verbal communication skills Basic computer skills A welding test will be administered as part of the application process
Environmental Conditions:
Humidity level may be elevated during the summer months Exposure to certain containments, at times Exposure to loud noise, at times
