Job Description

Trust Crete United and AC Corp to make every community better and built-environment more sustainable. AC Corporation is looking for an experienced Welder to join our Fabrication team in Raleigh, NC. This is a hands-on welding and fabrication position for someone who enjoys building things and takes pride in quality work. You'll use MIG, TIG, and Stick welding while working with a variety of metals to fabricate custom equipment and components. This isn't a production-line welding job. Our welders work from drawings, take measurements, cut and form material, and help build products from start to finish. What You'll Do Read blueprints to create cut list and material needed. Pull material from stock Cut, bend, fit and tack Clean up welds (wire brush/grinders) Operate shear, press brakes, rollers, etc. May use forklift to move material Maintain a clean work environment Qualifications Must have at least 2 years of TIG/MIG welding (stainless steel & aluminum a plus) Must have worked in a sheet metal shop Knowledge of weld symbols Must have at least 2 years of metal fabrication experience Understand blueprints/drawings Ability to follow detailed instructions Can-do attitude Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Frequent walking, bending, and squatting Ability to work in both hot and cold shop environments Ability to safely wear required PPE, including welding helmet, safety glasses, hearing protection, and protective gloves What You'll Help Build Our Fabrication team works on a variety of custom products and projects, including: Ductwork Scrubbers Pipe stands Fan bases Platforms and permanent ladders Mezzanines Handrails Other custom-fabricated metal components
