Experience:

Minimum 2 years of industrial pipe welding experience preferred. Must be able to pass an ASME-certified stainless steel TIG welding test prior to hire.

Hire Schedule:

Monday - Thursday, 6:00am to 4:30pm (OT available) Greene Resources is seeking a Combination Pipe Welder to join a growing and dynamic team! Perform high-quality pipe welding using SMAW (Stick), GTAW (TIG), and GMAW (MIG) processes on carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy piping. Perform pipe fitting, including measuring, cutting, beveling, alignment, fit-up, and preparation of pipe and fittings. Read and interpret blueprints, piping and isometric drawings, weld maps, welding symbols, specifications, and job requirements. Weld in multiple positions, including 1G, 2G, 5G, and 6G, while following approved welding procedures and applicable codes. Fabricate, install, repair, modify, and maintain process, utility, sanitary, and other industrial piping systems. Inspect completed welds for quality and identify potential defects while maintaining proper fit-up, alignment, and workmanship. Safely operate welding machines, cutting equipment, grinders, hand tools, power tools, and other fabrication equipment. Work closely with pipefitters, millwrights, supervisors, and other trades to complete projects safely and efficiently. Maintain accurate work documentation, communicate job status and issues, and keep work areas clean, organized, and safe. Travel to customer locations as required and perform additional mechanical duties when welding work is not scheduled.

Position Requirements:

Proficiency in pipe welding and fitting using SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW processes. Ability to weld carbon steel and stainless steel pipe in multiple positions. Ability to read and interpret piping drawings, isometrics, welding symbols, and specifications. Strong understanding of pipe fitting, welding practices, and applicable safety requirements. Ability to safely operate welding equipment, torches, grinders, hand tools, and power tools. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and maintain a strong commitment to quality. Reliable transportation required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Current welding certifications, particularly 6G pipe certification. Experience with ASME Section IX, AWS, API, or other applicable welding codes and standards. Strong stainless steel TIG welding experience; sanitary piping experience is a plus. Orbital welding experience is a plus. Experience in manufacturing, food processing, chemical, pharmaceutical, power, or other industrial facilities. OSHA, NCCER, or other relevant industry certifications.
