Bifrost Manufacturing is an advanced contract manufacturer serving aerospace, defense, and R&D customers. We operate metal additive (DMLS), CNC machining, fabrication, welding, and finishing capabilities. Our team is small, technically capable, and works on demanding programs. This role is to lead the fabrication and welding team: hands-on production, inspection, documentation, and scheduling. With accountability for safety, quality, timeliness, and communication between team and other departments. Low volume/high mix, high complexity projects. Full or part time position available.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Coordinate, sequence, and schedule the fabrication queue with other departments and leads Train and qualify team members on welding and fabrication standards Read and understand drawings, work instructions, WPS, and other engineering documentation. Coordinate installation projects in customer's facilities Support continuous improvement, quality, compliance, and safety efforts. TIG weld steel, stainless, aluminum, titanium, and Inconel MIG, stick, pulse, spray, and brazing as required Cutting, bending, forming, drilling, etc.
Weld prep:
clean, degrease, deburr, and grind all joint surfaces. Fixture and tack; lay out weld locations per drawing and AWS weld symbols Operate CNC forming and cutting equipment Perform First Article, in-process, and final inspections; complete Weld Inspection Reports Maintain full material traceability: mill certs, CoC, MTR, filler heat/lot numbers Complete traveler documentation for all projects In shop and onsite work as required by specific projects Support other areas as needed
REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED U.S. Person under ITAR (22 C.F.R. § 120.62). Required for access to export-controlled technical data Pass pre-employment background check and drug screen Demonstrated TIG experience Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T, and AWS weld symbols Ability to lift 75lbs unassisted to waist height Experience with traceability documentation: mill certs, CoC, MTR, travelers Proficiency with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, weld gauges) OSHA-10 at hire or within 90 days
