Welder (1st shift)
Location:
Hastings, NE 68901
Work Schedule:
Mon to Fri / 1st Shift /
OT:
5-10 hours weekly available upon request.
Pay rate:
22$ per hour
Contract:
W2 under staffing supplier; with a 6-month duration (temp to hire) Role Overview Welds, repairs, and prepares mechanical components using
MIG , MAG , TIG
, stick, and manual lathe equipment according to technical blueprints, safety standards, and quality specifications. Key Responsibilities +
Welding & Machining:
Execute welds, operate conventional lathes, interpret blueprints, and complete repairs or heat treatments. +
Quality & Operations:
Inspect completed work, track data, troubleshoot issues, and meet output and scrap targets. +
Safety & Collaboration:
Follow safety rules, maintain tools, and partner with team members to resolve technical issues. Requirements +
Qualifications:
Welder certification, High School Diploma/ GED (1-2+ years' experience), and basic computer/math skills. +
Physical & Schedule:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand long hours, and work overtime on short notice. +
Preferred:
Experience in mechanical manufacturing/valves, PT/MT certifications, and basic SAP knowledge.
