This role sets up, operates, and maintains welding equipment, including welding machines, spot welders, and robotic welders. The position also supports welding quality, audits, procedures, training, and compliance throughout the welding area.Responsibilities:
Set up welding fixtures and work areas to produce quality, specification-compliant parts. Operate welding equipment, metal fabrication machinery, manual and power tools, and perform required equipment maintenance. Perform welding audits and inspections, weld testing, and verify parts comply with current processes, WPS, AWS, and customer standards. Develop and maintain welding procedures, work instructions, PQRs and WPS forms; support new processes and customer-specific requirements.Qualifications and Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent and/or related experience required; associate degree from an accredited welding program preferred. Minimum 5 years of welding experience and current CWI certification required. Ability to read blueprints/drawings, use direct-read measuring devices, and understand WPS weld procedure specifications. GMAW welding skills, including weld-station setup; ability to work independently and as part of a team. Forklift operation/certification required or obtainable; AWS certification preferred or ability to obtain.Benefits and Perks:
