Welding Trainer:

Deliver NJ Transit welding curriculum through hands-on instruction in classrooms, workshops, and live work settings. Teach welding techniques, fabrication, blueprint reading, rigging, and safety practices. Demonstrate proper welding procedures and reinforce quality workmanship and code compliance. Help shape curriculum that meets the demands of NJ Transit maintenance and infrastructure operations.

Ideal experience for the position:

5+ years of experience in welding and fabrication. Structural welding Blueprint reading and interpretation Rigging and material handling Fabrication and torch cutting Industrial safety and OSHA standards Certified Welder credential preferred. Experience working to AWS welding standards preferred. Ability to explain complex welding concepts clearly and confidently. Experience with apprenticeship or workforce development programs is a bonus. Teaching or training experience is a plus but not required. Valid driver's license required.
