Job Description

Part-Time Experienced TIG Welder Eton Controls is seeking an experienced Part-Time TIG Welder to support our machine shop and industrial repair operations. We are looking for a highly skilled, dependable welder who is capable of performing clean, precise TIG welding on both large and very small components. This is not an entry-level welding position. Candidates must have strong hands-on TIG welding experience and be able to consistently produce clean, uniform, professional-quality weld beads. Required Skills & Experience Strong TIG welding experience is required Must be able to produce clean, consistent, high-quality weld beads Must have excellent control of heat, filler material, and weld placement Must be capable of performing very small, detailed welds and touch-up repairs on precision components Must be comfortable welding components where the repair area may be extremely small and requires a steady hand and close attention to detail Must be familiar with or capable of operating a Miller Syncrowave 350 TIG Welder Experience welding Inconel 718 Experience welding Inconel 625 Experience welding 410 Stainless Steel Experience welding 316 Stainless Steel Experience with Stellite hard-facing is a major plus Experience with precision industrial repair welding, Control Valve components, or machined components is highly preferred Responsibilities The welder will perform TIG weld repairs, buildup, and touch-up work on industrial and precision-machined components. Some components may require extremely small and controlled weld deposits where maintaining the surrounding dimensions and minimizing unnecessary heat input are important. The welder will also be responsible for maintaining the welding area and equipment, monitoring welding supplies, and helping identify equipment or consumables that need to be purchased or replaced. Responsibilities will include monitoring and coordinating the ordering and restocking of welding gases, propane, filler material, tungsten, consumables, and other welding supplies. Schedule This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule. We are willing to work with the right experienced candidate regarding days and hours. Overtime and additional hours may be available depending on shop workload. We are looking for someone who takes pride in the appearance and quality of their welds. Attention to detail is extremely important for this position, especially when working on small, high-value components that may only require a precise touch-up or localized repair.
Pay:
$25.00 - $33.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 per week
