Job Description

We are seeking experienced Journeyman Combo Welders to support structural and industrial welding operations in Reno, NV. The ideal candidate will have advanced welding skills, strong knowledge of multiple welding processes, and the ability to produce high-quality welds in demanding field environments. The primary qualification for this position is demonstrated competency with SMAW/stick welding for the root pass and TIG welding for the fill and cap in the 6G position . Responsibilities Perform high-quality structural and industrial welding in various positions and applications. Perform 6G welds using stick/SMAW for the root and TIG for fill and cap . Read and interpret welding procedures, drawings, and job specifications. Perform welding on structural components and piping or other critical applications as required. Select and properly use welding processes and equipment based on job requirements. Inspect completed welds for quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications. Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all required safety procedures. Perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 pounds. Communicate effectively with supervisors, welders, and other members of the construction team. Follow established welding procedures and maintain consistent quality in field conditions. Required Qualifications Journeyman-level welding experience. Strong proficiency in SMAW/stick and
GTAW/TIG
welding . Demonstrated ability to perform 6G welding with a stick root and TIG fill and cap . Experience with
FCAW/MIG
welding for structural applications. Ability to perform critical welds while maintaining high standards for quality and safety. At least two applicable welding certifications. Certification or demonstrated experience working with exotic metals. OSHA 10 certification. Ability to perform physical labor and lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively as part of a team. Forklift and aerial lift experience/certification as required for the job. Work Environment This position involves hands-on industrial/construction work in a field environment. Candidates must be comfortable performing physically demanding welding work while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.
Pay:
$43/hour
Per Diem:
$90/day for employees whose residence is more than 60 miles from the job site.
