Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, assembling, and repairing metal structures and components with precision and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise in various welding techniques, metal fabrication processes, and blueprint interpretation will be essential to delivering high-quality craftsmanship on diverse construction and manufacturing projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on challenging projects that require technical proficiency, mechanical knowledge, and a proactive approach. Duties Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to ensure accurate assembly and welding of metal components. Perform welding using various techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in compliance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Fabricate metal parts and structures by cutting, shaping, drilling, grinding, and assembling sheet metal, structural steel, and other metal materials using power tools, plasma cutters, machining equipment, and hand tools. Measure dimensions accurately with calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure precise fabrication according to specifications. Use construction site experience to assist in on-site assembly or repairs as needed while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety procedures related to welding, fabrication shop operations, and construction sites. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot fabrication issues and optimize processes for efficiency and quality. Qualifications
