Job Summary:
The Shop Welder is responsible for fabricating, welding, assembling, and repairing overhead cranes, structural steel, and related components in a shop environment. This role interprets engineering drawings and specifications to manufacture high-quality products, performs mechanical and welding repairs, and completes final assembly and functional testing to ensure equipment meets quality, safety, and customer requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
Fabricate cranes, structural steel, and other components in the shop as necessary. Perform mechanical and welding repairs in the shop as needed. Final assembly and testing of overhead cranes on the shop floor. Ensure that equipment is built to specification and drawings provided.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED. At least 3 years in an industrial environment or similar military experience. Skills and experience in welding and mechanical maintenance. Team approach to problem solving.
