Job Title Welder/Fabricator Job Duties Summary The Welder/Fabricator supports both the Manufacturing and Maintenance Departments by performing precision welding, fabrication, assembly, and finishing operations. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work with a variety of fabrication equipment and welding processes
Essential Responsibilities:
Welding- Weld aluminum lighting components to quality and production standards
- Perform TIG, MIG, Stick and Spot-Welding operations
- Grind and finish welds to meet Litelab's product quality requirements
- Repair cracked, damaged or defective components
- Modify metal parts by filling, resizing or reinforcing as needed.
- Help design and build fixtures and jigs to support welding and machining operations
- Perform welding repairs on facility and maintenance equipment as required Fabrication
- Perform straight and miter saw cuts on aluminum material
- Operate fabrication equipment including presses, benders, manual lathes, manual mills, drill presses, PEM machines and hand tools
- Complete finishing operations including deburring, brushing, washing and packaging components
- May assist with CNC machine operations and receive training on machine setup as experience develops
- Inspect, count, label and package finished products to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met Requirements & Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- Technical school or vocational training in welding or metal fabrication
- Minimum of three {3} years of welding and fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
