In support of the Company's primary and single most important objective which is
TO GET AND KEEP PROFITABLE CUSTOMERS
, this individual is primarily responsible to fabricate, install, operate, and maintain equipment and systems while achieving continuous safety, environmental, productivity, and quality standards. Successes of the position are measured via the following key indicators: Working safely and meeting all environmental standards of customer, OSHA, and employer Producing a high-quality product by meeting customer requirements as outlined in the job specifications Meeting and/or exceeding efficiency rates defined by job specifications Inspecting and trouble-shooting all product and equipment to ensure non-conformances are identified and communicated appropriately throughout the process Maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organized work area Completing and submitting paperwork timely and accurately
Position Responsibilities:
Comply with all customers and company policies, work, and safety rules Weld 304/316 stainless steel piping using the RMD process on a Miller PipeWorx welding machine Perform fabrication/welding tasks such as using a torch, cutting, track burner, band saw, and miscellaneous lathe, drill press, and mill work equipment Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to ensure accurate assembly and welding. Interpret P&ID, flow schematics, skid fabrication drawings, and other documents in accordance with standards, quality, materials management, and installation guidelines Interact and provide support to Project Management, Engineering, and Production as required Perform shop maintenance such as equipment repair and maintenance, shop and yard clean-up, and participate in health and safety follow-up meetings and inspections Must have own hand tools & toolbox Multitask throughout the shift to help achieve optimal shop efficiency rates Communicate with coworkers as needed and supervisor(s) to receive instructions and coordinate activities Be punctual and properly prepared to work Follow other job-related instructions and perform other tasks as requested
Working Conditions:
Various noise levels from operating machinery and equipment Moving equipment, machine parts, and vehicles Fumes, dust, and mist Exposure to chemicals, oils, inks, paints, and fluids Out-of-town travel as required
Skills and Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required Trade School certificate preferred but not required Hands-on experience with welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to ensure accurate assembly and welding. Mechanical knowledge related to machining, plasma cutting, sheet metal fabrication, and assembly processes Capable to administer basic math skills and utilize basic measuring instruments Good communication skills—verbal and written Able to operate forklift
Physical Requirements:
Lifting, carrying, overhead reaching, pushing, pulling 30-75 pounds regularly Lifting, carrying, overhead reaching, pushing, pulling 75+ pounds occasionally Standing & walking constantly Climbing & balancing regularly Hearing ability: ability to hear and interpret sounds to monitor machine variations; ability to identify and diagnose machine changes in order to take appropriate action Visual acuity: near acuity and accommodation is required for reading prints, gauges, and measuring/inspection instruments
Pay:
$27.00 - $32.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
