POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Certified Welder to join our client's production team. In this role, you will perform high-precision MIG and TIG welding on various metals, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel. This position requires strong blueprint reading skills, tight tolerance work, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform high-quality MIG and TIG welding on steel, aluminum, and stainless steel components in accordance with strict engineering specifications. Read and accurately interpret complex engineering blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Operate standard welding equipment, shop tools, and precision measurement instruments safely and efficiently. Perform self-inspections on all completed welds for structural integrity, defects, and proper finishing standards. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation in compliance with shop safety protocols and standard operating procedures. Work collaboratively with shop management and team members to hit production schedules and deadines.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Certification:
AWS D1.1
Certification is required.
Welding Experience:
Proven experience in both MIG and TIG welding processes (steel, stainless steel, and aluminum).
Machinery:
Experience operating a Press Brake is highly desirable.
Blueprint Reading:
Strong ability to read, interpret, and work directly from technical blueprints and engineering schematics.
Work Ethic:
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and a high commitment to craftsmanship and safety.
