Metal Fabricators / Welders A & T Iron Works, Inc. — New Rochelle, NY $28-$40 per hour, depending on experience A & T Iron Works, Inc. is an established New Rochelle steel fabrication company specializing in ornamental, miscellaneous, and light structural steelwork . We are looking for Metal Fabricators and Welders to join our shop. We are hiring for two skill levels : Experienced Metal Fabricators Experienced fabricators should be able to read shop drawings, perform layout and fitting, fabricate steel components, and weld projects independently. Welders Welders should have solid welding skills and be able to weld steel components independently . Fabrication experience is a plus, but is not required to the same extent as for the fabricator position. Responsibilities Perform measuring, cutting, and welding Fabricate stairs, railings, handrails, platforms, ladders, gates, frames, and other custom steelwork Perform MIG welding and other welding as required Operate shop machinery, hand tools, and power tools Check finished work for proper dimensions, fit, and quality Work independently and as part of a team Qualifications — Fabricator 3+ years of metal fabrication experience Strong steel layout, fitting, and welding skills Ability to read shop drawings and perform accurate measurements and layout Ability to fabricate and weld projects independently Experience with ornamental, miscellaneous, or light structural steel Qualifications — Welder Welding experience; less experience may be considered for the right candidate Strong MIG welding skills Ability to weld steel components independently Ability to read shop drawings is a plus Fabrication and fitting experience is a plus Compensation & Benefits $28-$40/hour , based on experience and skill 401(k) Full-time, Monday-Friday Overtime opportunities Steady work with an established local company
