Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join our precision manufacturing team. This position is focused on high-mix, low-volume sheet metal fabrication, requiring exceptional MIG, TIG, and laser welding skills, precise fit-up, and cosmetic finishing. You'll work from digital work instructions in our 100% paperless manufacturing environment, producing high-quality welded assemblies for customers who demand precision, craftsmanship, and reliability.
What We're Looking For:
Required Qualifications 7+ years of professional TIG welding experience with carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum Proven ability to produce high-quality, aesthetic welds on precision sheet metal assemblies Strong MIG welding experience and cosmetics weld capability Excellent fit-up, fabrication, grinding, and cosmetic finishing skills Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols Thorough understanding of welding processes, shielding gases, filler metals, tungsten selection, and welding consumables Complete working knowledge of common fabrication tools, measuring equipment, fixtures, clamps, abrasives, and shop supplies Comfortable working in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment where every project is different Strong computer skills and confidence using digital manufacturing systems in a 100% paperless environment Ability to work independently while maintaining exceptional attention to detail, craftsmanship, and quality Preferred Qualifications Laser welding experience Precision sheet metal fabrication experience Welding certifications are a plus, but not required Experience working to AWS or customer welding specifications Skills Assessment Required Final candidates should expect to demonstrate: Precision part fit-up TIG welding on stainless steel and aluminum MIG welding proficiency Grinding and cosmetic finishing techniques Blueprint interpretation, including weld symbols Safe work practices and fabrication problem-solving
